Softer Lips This Winter
Heat, as well as, cold can contribute to dry lips.
*Another cause of dry lips is aging. The older you get, the more prone they are to chapping.
*Avoid licking your lips which is easier said than done, I know, but read on
*Another bad habit that you can fall into is biting off bits of dead skin.
*Chewing on your lips is more popular than you might think. And for women who wear lipstick, here is a bit of trivia that I dug up for you. Did you know that women who are habitual lip chewers eat four to nine pounds of lipstick during their life?
I have terrible dry lips but I have a warning for everyone. I had a dry patch that never seemed to go away and it’s always in the same place (more dry than the other spots). I went to the doctor and it’s precancerous. I didn’t even think of cancer with this. It is actually more common than I knew.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn’t know that either!
I had chronically dry lips that cracked and peeled constantly. Now just about the only thing I use on my lips is Vaseline Lip Therapy and it has to be the cherry version. Nothing else will do. I am addicted, constantly putting it on. I have to have it or I go nutso. I’ve probably digested “four to nine pounds” of it just in a year alone, lol.
Addicted or not, my lips never peel or crack any more.
I have two tubes of Vaseline Lip Therapy… one unflavored and one in the Cherry flavor you mentioned. I have been waiting to use up a tube of lip balm I’m not crazy about anyway so I just might toss it and try the Cherry. That is some endorsement lol…
I am a bit of a nutball when it comes to my Cherry Vaseline Lip Therapy. A couple years back, I couldn’t find it anywhere and it was so upsetting! I think they were changing the packaging, but no one told ME, lol. So this lead to me buying 4-6 tubes of it any time I see it anywhere. KMart had it and charged $1.99 for it but Target now carries it for about $1.00.
I love the carmex the best. It keeps my lips very smooth. With out it my lips get chapped. Otherwise in the winter I would lick my lips a lot. So I advise carmex will do the trick just remember no flavors.
