In Love With Ice Cream… is there anyone who doesn’t like it?? I do remember one occasion when my mom and dad wanted to make my eighteen birthday party really special and invited the entire family as well as a ton of friends to our house. Being the girly girl that I am, mom picked up this huge bucket (the kind that restaurants have) of strawberry ice cream. It was pink!! Well, someone goofed. It wasn’t pink. It was orange and black and tasted about as bad as it looked. Okay, I guess it would have been okay if you liked orange ice cream with licorice swirls. Too bad my birthday hadn’t been in October. It would have been really cool lol…

We Get Our Movies For Free

We have a great library and when we sell our house and have to move, I’m really going to miss it. Our library has thousands of movies and they are absolutely free to borrow! I don’t even want to think about how much money I have wasted in the past at movie rental stores. Check out your own library and see what they have to offer. Finding entertainment for free will really make a proshopper out of you.

I Really Hate Salmon

Did I ever mention the fact that I really, really hate salmon. I tried again last night to eat the Teriyaki Salmon that my husbund cooked for me and it really should have been good… but it wasn’t. I just can’t stand the stuff. I don’t like the texture or the taste. I think what it all comes down to is something that I read years ago… which probably isn’t the case anyway, but it said something to the effect that the fish was full of little worms that would simply die when the fish was cooked, so it really couldn’t hurt you. So, if you read that, could you eat the stuff??

Somebody tell me that it isn’t true… please.

Feeling Horrid

I don’t know what bug I picked up from my daughter, but she had it yesterday, I have it now. I don’t know if I’m hot or cold. I ache absolutely everywhere and all I want is for the day to be over so I can go to bed. Here’s hoping that I will feel better tomorrow because I have a lot of shopping to do tomorrow. We just put our house up for sale (a week ago) and we still need a few bits and pieces to finish off the rooms so that they look like we live in a magazine… Real Estate Agent lingo I guess. Kind of hard keeping your house perfect when you feel like crap. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow.

Kids Cleaning Their Rooms…

I don’t think that there is a kid alive who likes to clean their room. I know that I didn’t when I was a kid… no make that a teen. Didn’t like doing it then either. So, grab a timer for 5 minutes and tell the kids that they can stop cleaning when the timer goes off. They think that they are getting off lucky, but you will be amazed at how cleaning can be done in five minutes. It doesn’t sound like a lot of time, but I have put it to the test myself. YOU CAN GET A LOT ACCOMPLISHED IN 5 MINUTES.  Now get into the habit of doing it every day and you will have one amazing looking house (or a clean kid’s room) in a week or less.
