*What Is Going On

When we were younger, the last thing we thought about was how much sleep we needed. As we age, it seems that we need to turn our thoughts to what is taking place while our eyes are closed. Apparently, lots of different areas of our body are being looked at and corrected as we dream pleasant dream. Not only is our muscles being healed, major organs are being given an overhawl as well. And if that isn’t enough, our body is also targeting our stores of fat. What time are you hitting the sack tonight?

It’s Been a Bad Week

First of all my husband had to be out of town ALL week, which meant I had to cook… and I can’t if my life depended on it. Okay, I pretty good with grilled cheese sandwiches, but I have a hard time with timing stuff. So don’t ask me to make an entire meal and then to have it all be at the table at the same time.

And then there was the case of finding contentment. I’m a big time city girl, but just maybe I’m changing a little bit. I found this cutest little cottage sitting alongside a stream. So not me, but I could actually see myself living in a place like that. It’s over at my How to Be Content Every Day lens over at Squidoo. I have to admit… if someone was to ask where the most likely place to find me… it wouldn’t be here. Somethings happening to me I’m sure of it lol… not a department store in sight.

Feeling Grumpy

It must be the weather thing again. I have my days when I’m feeling as if nothing could go wrong with the world and then other days when I would simply like to pack everything up and go shopping for the entire day. Today happens to be one of those days.

In Need of a New Watering Can

Just finished watering the plants… well I tried to. My watercan has a leak. I think that I’m going to have to go shopping this afternoon and I know exactly where I’m going to go. Yesterday I was out shopping for flowers and I saw this 3 foot poppy. It was absolutely gorgeous and I left it there. I just might pick it up today. I have never seen a poppy this big.

I’m dreaming of Florida

It’s cold today and I can’t think of a better place to be (today) than Florida. And that’s why this literally jumped off the page at me. It’s going on my wish list. Hey, I’m being frugal. I could have picked something a whole lot more expensive.

I Really Hate Salmon

Did I ever mention the fact that I really, really hate salmon. I tried again last night to eat the Teriyaki Salmon that my husbund cooked for me and it really should have been good… but it wasn’t. I just can’t stand the stuff. I don’t like the texture or the taste. I think what it all comes down to is something that I read years ago… which probably isn’t the case anyway, but it said something to the effect that the fish was full of little worms that would simply die when the fish was cooked, so it really couldn’t hurt you. So, if you read that, could you eat the stuff??

Somebody tell me that it isn’t true… please.

Been a Long Weekend

I think that I have walked half our subdivision this weekend. It was so nice and I even sat outside yesterday with a glass of wine. Today… it was hot chocolate. I’m just so tired of the cold weather and here we go again. All week, we are calling for cold weather and rain.  I guess it could have been snow that they were predicting. But I want the sun back again!
